Its because we have rubbish weather most of the year in england , the commanders wouldn’t want their troops to have cold ears when they get home

maybe show a good ally soldier some respect? from what i saw, i would say the british army are as well trained and professinal as we are. Dont get me wrong, im a US soldier. im very clean cut as well. im just saying, if the UK want to have “longer hair”, let em. they do things their way, we do things our way. oh, by the way, Royal Marines have 32 weeks of training. if they wanted long hair, i think they earned it

Unlike in the Marines Corp, there are no haircut standards in the British army. It's up to each unit commander to choose what style he wants his men to have.

It might be a point of interest to see that the soldiers' hair isn't cut to perfection, but the most important thing to think about is that they are out there protecting us. We wouldn't want to be where they are!
