Why are single russian women looking for marriage-minded men abroad? It may be true that many are frustrated by the laid back attitude of single Russian men but I guess the biggest reason is no different than women from other countries who wish to marry men from abroad.
They want happiness and I guess they think they will find it with men from abroad. Also I think that men from abroad especially from Western countries are better off and have strong work ethics compared to Russian men, and therefore they are more attractive to the Russian women who value such strong work ethics.
By all accounts, the divorce rate between Russian women and Western men is pretty low, something like 6%. Many men who see this statistic will consider it a positive for Russian women, that is, they see Russian women as valuing marriage and family life.
The availability of various reputable dating sites have made it possible for Russian women to meet Western men.
