See my garden grow

I love to see how well my morning glory plants are doing! I wished we had planted them earlier but we couldn’t because we have 12 geese running loose in our yard and any young plants would not have survived. We waited till we had fenced off an area in front of our patio before we started planting anything.

You don’t see very many gladiolas in anyone’s yard at this time of the year. Most of the gladiolas were planted in the spring. I have never seen a purple gladiola before and I think it is very beautiful.

My friend, Kathy, was here yesterday and she thinks the pink in this gladiola plant matches the pink color of her daughter’s wedding theme. Too bad that she can’t use my gladiolas because they will all have withered by the time the wedding is held!
My eighteen or so corn plants have corn ears on them. I can’t wait for them to be ready for picking! I told Doug, my husband, that next year we should plant our corn in our backyard not in the front yard among the gladiolas!
